General Terms and Conditions
By engaging with the website content herein, a user explicitly consents to the UPBookmark.com enabling technology for the purposes of completing activities relating to products and services being offered by Bookmark at UP bookshop based at University of Pretoria. Any subsequent financial transactions are therefore subject to the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
The information contained on this website is subject to any errors and omissions which may be present. Bibliographic information is provided by third parties. It is presented 'as is' and UPBookmark.com does not accept responsibility for inaccuracies.
UPBookmark.com shall only accept financial transactions once payment has been processed and your account has been debited.
All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT.
To the extent that there is any error or omission, Bookmark.co.za has the right within its sole discretion to inform you of this and not to accept any transaction.
In the case of credit card orders, UPBookmark.com reserves the right to request faxed copies of the front and back of the card and a signed letter authorizing the transaction.

e-Books and other digital products or software purchased for use or download using Bookmark.co.za cannot be returned due to the nature of the product. Digital products or software may however be available for a reasonable trial period as per a Purchaser's express request.

e-Books and e-Textbooks
Electronic delivery (of a digital product or software service) such as an e-book is dependent on user's connectivity, hardware machinery (computing and storage systems) that connects to the internet and the user's own internet service provider.
Where e-books are downloaded for off-line use, a third-party application software may be required.
Bookmark makes no warranties nor accepts liabilities from the use of third-party software used to engage the user with the product sold. These are available via the providing 3rd party's terms and conditions.
Quotation documents are generated in real time based on availability and pricing information available. Specific terms relate to validity of quotation are indicated on the document.
Terms and Conditions for the Consignment Sale of Second-Hand Books
Signing of this document warrants that the owner of the second-hand books acknowledges and understands the full terms and conditions governing this transaction.
The owner of the second-hand book confirms that he is the lawful owner of the second-hand book.
The owner of the second-hand books agrees to hand over the book on a consignment basis to Bookmark at UP (Pty) Ltd to allow for the book to be sold at Bookmark to a third party.
The owner and Bookmark at UP (Pty) Ltd acknowledge that the cost price negotiated between the parties will remain binding on signature of this document.
The cost prices as indicated on this document will be considered the full and final price payable to the owner of the second book upon the sale of the book to a third party.
Bookmark reserves the right to sell the book to a third party at any price that Bookmark determines provided it is above the cost price.
The owner of the second-hand textbook agrees to leave the second-hand book with Bookmark at UP (Pty) Ltd for a minimum period of six months which shall constitutes sufficient time for Bookmark at UP (Pty) Ltd to attempt to sell the book to a third party.
Any second-hand books not sold within six months will be returned to the lawful owner. The owner will be sent an SMS or e-mail informing them that the books must be collected.
Failure to collect the book with thirty days of the SMS or email being sent out, will result in storage charges being levied at R2.00 per day.
