Português em Foco 3 is the third in a series of textbooks organised into four levels aimed at teenage and adult learners of Portuguese as a Foreign Language and Second Language. It is divided into thematic areas designed to cover the communicative needs of learners corresponding to level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). Students will thus reach a level of independence that will allow them to interact in a large variety of communicative situations. They will also learn to develop linguistic-communicative mechanisms and to recognise and use the main lexical-syntactic and syntactic-semantic structures of the Portuguese language. These structures will allow for increased flexibility when using the language in less predictable situations.
